		<description>A google search will give you more detail, but basically, the number is the millimeter depth of your gums. A 1 indicates 1mm of depth witch is ideal. 2 to 3mm is iffy, and 4 to 5 indicates a lot of gum depth and potential gum disease.

Lower numbers in front is typical because your back teeth do more powerful compression. But, good oral hygiene will prevent pockets from getting too deep.
