Is soap just as good as toothpaste for oral care?

I have a friend who using only antibacterial soap to brush his teeth, gums, and tongue. His teeth are white looking and he has no halitosis. He claims regular toothpaste is unnecessary.

Toothpaste contains a very fine abrasive that is missing in soap. It’s purpose is to remove the faint traces of plaque that develop as a consequence of eating. The plaque deposits are the result of oral bacteria that lives in the saliva and on the gums, tongue, and lining of the mouth. Unless your friend is brushing immediately following any kind of meal and snack, he’s eventually going to get a plaque buildup.

I realize that after some months using Commission Blueprint 2 that it was and still is the best IM product I have ever purchased without any doubts.

To this day the guys who created it are still sharing new tools with us purchasers that is shooting our sites into the top ten of Google with somewhat of great ease. If you want to read more about my use of this tool, visit Commission Blueprint 2 Review here.

Also, it must taste disgusting.

Soap wasn’t made for your teeth. Toothpaste was. I really suggest you stick to toothpaste. This is just my opinion though. If you want a better answer consult with a professional.

    I would say "no".
Soap contains lye and may damage sensitive tissues, use toothpaste.

All I know is that my Mom wanted to wash my mouth with soap if I said a bad word. It never happened though.

Your friend is right about regular toothpaste is not nedded, however using soap will break down the enamel on your teeth.
If you are looking for a alternative to toothpaste then use baking soda. Toothpaste is going to taste a lot better. There are many factors for white teeth and soap is not one of them.
