Sonic is good for people with braces and the other kind is good for normal people, the Sonic kind gets into the teeth and cleans the gunk in the corners of your teeth.

The other brand is for normal people and does the same thing but differently.

I didn’t like the sonic one. If you appled too much pressure, it didn’t vibrate much. If you let it vibrate more, it barely touched your teeth.

Both manual and oscillating electric toothbrush are categorized as 2-dimensional brushing.

A sonic toothbrush empowered 3-dimensional brushing. The additional dimension came from the up down hitting from the vibration. In this sense, a sonic toothbrush is cleaner than the old mechanism.

Info: The head from a sonic tooth brush is just like an ordinary manual toothbrush. Unlike a standard electric toothbrush, it doesn’t contain a rotating mechanism.

The sonic ones are better than the Oscillating ones. I have had both and read the reviews.
