I am with AmeriPlan USA and I did a check in Clinton , Iowa and AmeriPlan doesn’t have any providers within 60 miles!! Which is very unfortunate, since we would have been his best option!!

Does he have an immediate need? i could search farther for him, just let me know..
or you could have him give me a call with 10 local dentists in the area and within 30 days I could get some on a plan for him. (don’t worry, I don’t benefit personally from referring providers!) I just can’t believe we don’t have providers there!! So i’d like to get some!

Dental insurance is almost always obtained through a group. Most of the time the "group" is an employer but there is also the possibility of a group that consists of the members of an association of some kind. That is how I buy my insurance since I am no longer employed. I belong to an organization that sponsors a Delta Dental plan that I may purchase as long as I keep paying my association dues.

I’ve never found a private plan that makes sense – in other words, when you ‘run the numbers’, it doesn’t pay you more than you pay them.

I haven’t had dental coverage most of my adult life – I’ve just paid out of pocket.
