I have see many studies done in professional journals and every one that I saw found that the electric toothbrush did a better job of removing plaque than did manual brushing. Our office recommends Sonic Care. They are a bit more pricey but I feel are worth it.

The answers to this question are most probably going to be personal opinions and experiences, but I personally think that electric toothbrushes are far better. They clean where a manual one cannot. Some of the posh, expensive ones even send out electric currents through your teeth and gums to stimulate proper cleaning and less plaque!

I was just wondering, I have an Oral B Triumph and a Sonicare Elite and I really can’t decide which is best for my teeth. The Oral B seems to whiten better, but seems to be causing some gum recession. The Sonicare is gentler on my gums, but doesn’t whiten as well. Would it be okay to use both? Say, the Sonicare every day and then the Oral B once a week for polishing? Does anyone use both? Thank you in advance for your help.

I use Oral B. However if you are using it and it is causing your gum problem you should inform your dentist about the you have problem with your gums using this tooth brush. Oral B should not hurt you gums but only make them stronger. And you brushing you gums when you wash you teeth you SHOULD ME to make you gums stronger
