How useful is using the power tip with the oral b electric toothbrush?

I floss and brush regularly, but my dental hygenist regularly hands me the tiny internal brushes. I find them hard to use on the inside (gum side) of the teeth.

I realize that after some months using Commission Blueprint 2 that it was and still is the best IM product I have ever purchased without any doubts.

To this day the guys who created it are still sharing new tools with us purchasers that is shooting our sites into the top ten of Google with somewhat of great ease. If you want to read more about my use of this tool, visit Commission Blueprint 2 Review here.

I noticed that the oral b Electric Toothbrushes come with a powertip. I wonder if using it is useful in addition to the flossing and brushing.

its ok

Can brushing your teeth with an electric toothbrush cause brain damage?

It’s no funny thought, but I wonder if one could sustain brain damage if exposed to the vibrations of Electric Toothbrushes too often. Has research been done on this? Do you think doing research on this would be helpful?
If nothing has been done in this area yet. I am willing to do research in this area.

I strongly doubt it.

ELECTRIC TOOTHBRUSHES: is it better to have a Sonic one or an Oscillating one?

A VERY GOOD QUESTION AND THERE IS PLENTY OF EVIDENCE THAT A SONIC IS SUPERIOR TO AN OSCILLATING MODEL.
WHY?
THE VIBRATING TYPE CREATING STRONG WAVES VIBRATING AWAY ANY PLAQUE.
THE OSCILLATING TYPE TENDS TO JUST PUSH THE PLAQUE/BACTERIA AROUND RATHER THAN REMOVING THEM AWAY BY VIBRATIONS

How do you clean the gunk from an electric toothbrush?

I hope you guys can help me with this since Philips (Sonicare maker) couldn’t even properly answer this question. Almost every week, disgusting dark green colored film collects inside the electric toothbrush head. First of all, is this normal? is anyone else having this issue? I have to take a manual toothbrush to scrub out the film. Is this a common occurrence with Electric Toothbrushes, am I supposed to ignore this gross film and just change the head every 3-4 months? It’s getting to be a hassle to have to clean out this film every week!

THIS FILM IS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE WITH THIS BRUSH. ONCE PER WEEK USE A PAPER TOWEL DAMPENED IN RUBBING ALCOHOL TO CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE CAP.
THIS MAINTENANCE MUST ALSO BE DONE FOR THE RUBBER CONNECTOR OF THE BRUSH HEAD.
REMEMBER TO REPLACE THE BRUSH HEAD EVERY THREE MONTHS.
I USE THE SONICARE ELITE MODEL.

What do you call the amount of pressure an electric toothbrush can take?

I want to know because the space between the teeth and the side of the mouth isn’t very much so an electric toothbrush with low pressure would stop there. I know that there is a term for this because I used to compare Electric Toothbrushes by this.

Its not the pressure its the torque you need to know

what is the difference between an electric toothbrush and a sonic one ?

Why are sonic toothbrushes better ? What does the sonic bit actually do that a usual electric toothbrush doesn’t ?

The standard electric toothbrush just mimics the use of your regular toothbrush with the up and down or round and round motion. The Sonicare toothbrush uses a vibration means of pulsation that works with water, toothpaste, and saliva in your mouth that literally vibrates the debris from under the tissue, in between and on the teeth off better than the others. It really does make your teeth feel like you’ve just had them professionally cleaned! Next time you’re at the dentist ask for a demonstration. They are highly recommended in the dental profession.

Are electric toothbrushes harmful if you have braces? Or can you only use manual toothbrushes?

Electric Toothbrushes will not be harmful if you have braces. But get the one that goes in a circular motion instead of up and down because that will work better with braces. A good circular electric brush is made by Oral B.

Have you ever brushed your teeth with one of those hi-fi supersonic electric vibrating toothbrushes?

I just did. I’ve never used my tongue so much in my life (unfortunately)

No

Are electric toothbrushes more effective than manual ones?

Yes. You couldn’t match the brush strokes that an electrical toothbrush can do. Also, you are less likely to press really hard, which means you are less likely to abrade(sp?) your teeth, which can lead to extreme sensitivity.
