Dental office whitening is often preferred to at-home procedures, given the specialized assistance and the complexity of the techniques used. Regardless of the chosen procedures, one can improve the teeth color with minimal risks and without repeated visits to the dentist (in case of laser bleaching).
No one denies that bleaching gels can be applied at home as well but it is in ones best interest to choose dental office whitening, even with a simple procedure such as that. The dentist will supervise any procedure and the results will be downright impressive, the teeth color changing to a whiter shade. Laser bleaching, for example, can only be performed in the dentist office and everyone knows that it guarantees instant results. The dentist has the necessary experience to determine which procedure is more suitable for each patient, using only top quality products and protecting the teeth at all times.
Cosmetic dentistry is all about making the teeth look fantastic while maintaining their health at the highest possible level. The teeth color is affected by varied chemicals, active ingredients in food or even by certain drinks, such as red wine or coffee. Sweet drinks are also known to stain the enamel of the teeth, just as chocolate and other delicious treats. Dental office whitening can solve all problems related to the teeth color and restore their natural look, eliminating discoloration through various procedures.
The teeth color changes accordingly to what we eat, drink or smoke. However, there is the genetic component involved in that modification as well, so it takes a shorter period for some people before their teeth become yellow. For other, that period is extended and they do not need to consider improving their teeth color, at least for the present. Dental office whitening will include the assessment of the teeth color and the need for such procedures, the dentist presenting the choices one has available.
Dentists treat cavities on a regular basis but they also deal with an important number of requests for dental office whitening. There are a lot of people who want to improve their teeth color and they prefer to achieve that under the careful supervision of an experienced dentist. For them, it is important to have a white set of teeth and display a healthy look, resorting to bleaching gels, whitening strips, laser applications or any other method the dentist might recommend.
Regardless of the chosen procedure for dental office whitening, one can expect that all the stains present on the enamel of the teeth will be removed. The teeth color will approach a whiter shade as the treatment progresses and the teeth will maintain their health. Discoloration is the first sign that something might be wrong with ones teeth and it is a lucky thing that there are so many procedures out there that one try. Dental office whitening is in many ways superior to any of the bleaching systems that can be applied at home, that is a fact!

Braces and Whitening issue…dentists please help?
I am 17 years old and i have had glue on braces for 5 years and then got them removed..there were some white composite left which the dentist removed and after that there were still very small sized white marks left on my teeth they are barely visible until carefully inspected..
I have a dental appointment next week so the dentist try to remove them as he did with the first bulks but curretnly my gums are irritated so i gotta wait…(i have removed the braces 3 month ago now)…
Here comes the question; i want to have in office zoom2 teeth whitening but i have been told braces cases may have white patches after bleaching that would look horrible due to deminieralizion or decalicifiction , i dont know…Do i qualifiy as a candidate. and if my dentist do get those tiny white traces off and there are no visible things on the teeth exept (the YELLOW color)would that mean i wont have these patches after bleaching ..
in addition i sort of having a fairly grey margin around my teeth does this indicate anything?….
what are the best options for me to whiten my teeth..
NB the reason i am searching for an answer here is that my dentist says he is not knowledgable about whitening and cosmetic and i live in africa and frankly there arent any dentists here i could trust..so i was wondering if there is any way to get consultion about that issue through email mail or fax, where i could attach pics of my teeth..
are there any sites that offer these kind of medical services even if paid for…are there dentists who i could consult with this matter by long distance means
thanks very much

YOU NEED TO GET THE CEMENT GRINDED OFF. THE WHITENING OF THE TEETH CAN BE DONE BY ALL MEANS. THERE SOME HOME WHITENING KITS THAT YOU CAN BUY AND DO THIS..YOU WILL NEED TO GO TO A PHARMACY AND TELL THEM TO PERHAPS ORDER IT. IT CAN BE A PROBLEM IF THE DENTISTS DO NOT OFFER THE PROCEDURE.
