The popular methods used for whitening teeth are dental office whitening and dental supervision gel treatments. They are the most effective ways to cure discoloration and stains from the teeth. The dental office whitening usually involves gel that is directly applied on the affected area that accelerates with heat, special light, laser or a combination of the all the three methods. What are the best products for teeth whitening?

I was wondering what products are the best for teeth whitening?

First, what is a good whitening toothpaste?

Second, what is a good product to use for Teeth Whitening that doesn’t leave my teeth extremely sensitive? I have heard from multiple people that a lot of the whitening strips leave your teeth very sensitive. Anyone have any experience with a whitening product that does not leave you with extremely sensitive teeth after?

just clean your teeth lol :D

What is the difference between the $20 and the $150 Sonicare electric toothbrushes?

Is there a real difference between these models aside from the bells and whistles (case, quad timer, etc). In other words, will the $150 necessarily do a better job than the $20? Both models are rechargeable.

Yes. First of all, they come with nicer: packaging, warranties, higher quality material (bristles, brush head, etc..), and they honestly work better. My friend has one because she got a 50% discount from the densist office that she works at. She has more than one brush head in several different sizes and options (like soft or medium). It also comes with a compartment that you stick the toothbrush heads in and a special light kills the bacteria off of them. The pulsation and spinning of the brush is even better too. She said that its a bit weird to get used to because it tickles your teeth and lips at first (she had to begin on low). The brush actually gets a lot more plaque off of your teeth and stimulates your gums too, all in less time than manual and other cheaper Electric Toothbrushes. I’m definately going to get one! You can order several different brush heads, so I’ll be able to share one with my family.

What is a good legitimate discount dental plan?

I have done some research and have decided againt Ameriplan and am leaning towards AVIA, Careington Care, or Unicare. Does anyone have these Dental Plans and used and are they good or another legitimate dental care plan that is good?

My favorite that I accept in my office is Delta Dental. I will caution you to be very careful about what type of plan you sign up for. As the old rule applies very heavily within the dental community, you get what you pay for. Of course there is always extremes but a high quality crown runs around 1100-1500 in the Atlanta Area, just to give you an idea. So many of these discount plans make dentist work on getting in as many people as possible and are less concerned with providing the patient with the best treatment possible.

Is there affordable dental insurance available for a teacher that missed the sign up date for state dental?

I have state medical insurance in Mississippi, but I didn’t sign up in time for the dental insurance. Is there a good company that would charge a reasonable rate for Dental Insurance?

healthplans.my-age.net – my family have this health insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.

Should kids be allowed to chew gum at school to promote dental health?

I chewed gum almost every day while growing up (sugar-free of course), and didn’t get a cavity until I was 26. I asked my dentist if the gum helped, and he said that it does help to remove food from your teeth after you eat. Since schools claim to be concerned about the Dental Health of children, but don’t allow them time to brush their teeth, wouldn’t it be beneficial for the children to be able to chew a piece of gum after meals?

I would definitely say yes to that. I brush after every meal I eat, but in school I don’t have time. Chewing gum helps get the food out and gives my breath a good smell. I would promote chewing gum in all schools (as long as nobody distracts anyone, of course).

What is the best teeth-whitening system that doesn’t involve a dentist trip?

I’m trying to find out what is the best teeth-whitening system without going to the dentist for a professional whitening. I’m researching for my fiance, who is in the Marines. Because he doesn’t have the time, as well as all the amount of paperwork he would need to file to get a whitening done, we want to find something over-the-counter. He has really sensitive gums, so I’m nervous for him to use the white-strips. Do the trays seem to work better? Or is there another product someone could recommend? Any suggestions would be great…thanks!

There are several types of products available for use at home. Some of these tooth whitening products can be easily purchased off the shelves of pharmacy while others are dispensed by your dentist.

One popular tooth whitening product that you can use is bleaching solution that contains peroxide for bleaching tooth enamel. The bleaching agent in these products is usually carbamide peroxide, which is available in 10, 16 and 22 percent concentrations.

Whiteners that contain peroxide typically come in gel form and are placed in a mouthguard. Some products are used twice a day for 2 weeks while others are intended for overnight use for a 1 to 2 weeks period. If you can obtain the bleaching solution from your dentist, he will be able to construct a custom mouth guard to fit your teeth precisely. Currently, the American Dental Association endorses only dentist-dispensed home-use percent carbamide peroxide tray-applied gels.

In addition to bleaching solution, whitening strips are increasingly being used as a preferred tooth whitening product. For instance, you are now able to get your hands on a set of Crest Whitestrips Supreme from any convenience store. The flexible, invisible strips are coated with an enamel-safe tooth bleaching gel. To whiten your teeth, you simply place the strips on your teeth and wear them for about 15 to 30 minutes each day. After a period of about 21 days, you should be able to see a significant difference on the brightness of your teeth.
